SharePoint
Sync SharePoint document libraries into a collection.
The SharePoint connector brings documents from your organization's Microsoft 365 libraries into the Collection.
It is the path for companies whose internal documentation lives in SharePoint rather than in loose files.
Prerequisites
Two things need to be ready first, and neither is configured on this screen:
- The SharePoint OAuth credentials registered in the organization, under Credentials.
- Your instance's domain allowed under Settings › Knowledge Sources.
The domain has to match exactly. An instance at company.sharepoint.com isn't reached by a sharepoint.com entry, and the error only shows up when you try to create the connector.
Configure
After authorizing, you select the site and the document libraries to sync.
The connector's permission is that of the authorized account. Libraries restricted to other groups don't show up in the selection, and that isn't a platform failure.
Permissions and what becomes visible
The connector doesn't reproduce SharePoint permissions inside the Collection. Everything it indexes becomes available to any Agent attached to that Collection, and therefore to anyone in the workspace who chats with it.
If part of the content is restricted, the scoping has to happen when selecting the libraries, not afterwards.
Next steps
- Allow the domain in Knowledge domains.
- See the other connectors in Overview.
