Response feedback

What people marked as good or bad in the agents' answers.

Response feedback gathers the feedback people gave to the Agents' answers in Chat.

It is the platform's most direct quality signal: it doesn't measure usage, it measures whether what was answered was useful.

The screen opens for Owner, Curator and Auditor.

The list

Five columns: Date, Agent, Rater, Rating and Actions.

The Agent column is what turns the screen into a tool. Sorting or filtering by it quickly shows which Agent concentrates the negative ratings.

How to use negative feedback

A negative rating rarely says what happened. The path is to go from the rating to the conversation and read the whole exchange.

The most common causes, in order of frequency:

  • The knowledge wasn't there: the document wasn't uploaded, or never reached Active in the Collection.
  • The answer came from the model, not the material: the prompt doesn't tell it to say it doesn't know.
  • The question was outside the Agent's scope: the problem is one of expectations, solved in the name and description.

The balance on the Dashboard

The Dashboard summarizes these ratings into a balance for the period. The number alone says little; the useful reading is here, case by case.

A low volume of ratings is normal. People rarely rate answers, and almost always when something went wrong. An Agent with no ratings isn't an approved Agent.

Next steps

  • Read the full conversation behind a rating in Conversations.
  • Check whether the knowledge was available in Indexing.
