Iteration start
The automatic node that represents the current item inside a loop.
Iteration start is the only node you don't add. It appears automatically inside an Iteration node and marks where the sub-flow begins.
On the canvas it is the small highlighted node inside the larger Iteration block.
What it provides
It represents the item being processed in that pass of the loop, and exposes two variables to the inner nodes:
| Variable | Content |
|---|---|
item | The current item of the list the Iteration received. |
index | The item's position, starting at zero. |

{{ inicio_da_iteracao.item }}Connect the inner logic
To build the sub-flow, click the handle to the right of the start node and add the next node. Whatever you connect there runs once per item.
An LLM node inside the loop runs once per item. A list of 200 elements means 200 model calls, with the corresponding cost.
Outside the loop
The item and index variables only exist inside the Iteration. Nodes placed after the block can't reach them.
To carry results outside, use the Iteration node's Output variables, which gather the individual results into a new list.
