Overview
The nodes that branch the flow, repeat over lists and choose between results.
Three nodes control the route. They are what separates a linear flow from one that handles different cases.
What each node does
- Condition: evaluates condition groups from top to bottom and follows the first true one. The only node with multiple outputs on the canvas.
- Iteration: creates a sub-flow and runs the inner nodes once per item of a list.
- Aggregation: evaluates sources in order and returns the first valid value.
How they combine
Condition opens branches, Aggregation closes them. That pair keeps the flow's contract stable: whichever path was taken, the Output node always receives the same variable.
Iteration is independent of the other two and usually appears right after a node that returns a list, such as the File extractor.
The cost of repeating
Each node inside an Iteration runs once per item. An LLM node over a list of 200 elements means 200 model calls.
