File generator
Produce a Markdown, DOCX or PDF file from the flow's result.
The File generator turns what the flow assembled into a downloadable document, in Markdown, DOCX or PDF.
It is the closing node of flows that produce a report, an assessment or a consolidated summary.
The formats
- Markdown: the text output as is, useful when another system will consume it.
- DOCX: an editable document, for when someone will still review and adjust it.
- PDF: a final document, rendered from HTML.
Images
PDFs are rendered from HTML, and the allowed image sources are restricted for security.
Images embedded as data:, the HTTPS bucket configured by the platform and the official CDN are accepted. Local URLs, plain HTTP and arbitrary external origins are blocked.
An image from a blocked origin doesn't bring the run down. The file is generated without it, and the problem only shows up when someone opens the document.
Where the file is kept
The result is persisted by the platform and delivered to the person who ran the flow, according to what the Output node declares.
Files generated by older runs stay accessible through that run's log.
