GitHub
Query metadata, commits and pull requests from public repositories.
The GitHub integration queries public repositories: metadata, the latest commit and the details of a pull request.
The scope is public. Private repositories aren't reached by this integration.
The tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
Repository Info | Retrieves a public repository's metadata. |
Latest Commit | Retrieves a repository's most recent commit. |
Pull Request | Fetches the details of a public pull request. |
Each tool is checked separately in the Agent form. An Agent that only needs to check the latest published version doesn't need access to pull requests.
Use cases
The most productive combination is a technical support Agent that checks the real state of the repository instead of answering from memory. What the current version is, what went into the last commit, whether a given change has already been merged.
In Workflows, Latest Commit works as a check trigger: the flow compares the current commit with the recorded one and decides whether to proceed.
Limits
Since the query is public and has no credential, it is subject to the rate limits GitHub applies to anonymous calls. Flows that query in a loop may be refused for too many requests.
