Knowledge Collection

Knowledge Collections are a way to organize and group related documents on the Aumo platform. They allow you to create logical groups of documents that can be easily referenced and utilized by AI assistants.

Overview

A knowledge collection is a container that groups documents from different knowledge sources. This facilitates the organization and management of large volumes of documents, allowing you to:

  • Organize documents: Group related documents in a single collection
  • Ease searching: Find related documents more easily
  • Control access: Manage access permissions for the documents within the collection
  • Use in assistants: Reference entire collections in AI assistants

Main Fields

Each knowledge collection has the following fields:

  • Name: A descriptive name to identify the collection
  • Description: An optional description about the purpose and content of the collection
  • Slots: Custom metadata in key-value format that can be used for categorization and filtering
  • Image: An optional URL for an image representing the collection
  • Access Type: Defines whether the collection is personal or project-based

Features

Create Collection

You can create a new knowledge collection through a three-step creation process:

  1. Collection Details: Set up the name, description, and slots of the collection
  2. Add Files: Add documents directly to the collection
  3. Add Knowledge Source: Connect existing knowledge sources to the collection

Manage Documents

After creating a collection, you can:

  • Add documents from existing knowledge sources
  • Upload files directly to the collection
  • Remove documents from the collection
  • View the status and metadata of the documents

Use in Assistants

Knowledge collections can be referenced in AI assistants, enabling the assistant to access all documents within the collection during conversations.
